These tongs are all about the grip. While the arms are made of sturdy stainless steel, the grips and heads are soft, comfortable nylon. That means they won't scratch or damage your nonstick cookware. The heads are scalloped for a tight grip that won't let go. Lifetime warranty against defects.
These are a good pair of tongs, but to be honest, I don't necessarily think they're superior to the basic, cheaper ones. Again, they're good tongs, I'm just not sure if they're worth the extra few dollars.
